Mastering your Mind: Executive Function for High Performance

In today’s fast-paced work environments, where psychosocial hazards, organisational change, and an increasing reliance on digital technology are prevalent, it’s crucial to equip your staff with the skills to maintain mental balance and enhance performance.

Our Master Your Mind workshop is designed to help staff improve focus, attention, and executive function—key cognitive processes that drive self-regulation and goal-directed behaviour. By strengthening these abilities, participants will be better equipped to adapt to challenges, enhance their work performance, and maintain mental strength and agility in an ever-changing workplace.

Key Workshop Components:

In these programs you will explore:

  • MASTERING YOUR MIND. High quality performance rests on the ability to have high-quality attention and focus, and control over your thoughts, emotions and behaviours.  These capacities can be understood as the vital link between self-regulation and our executive function. We reflect upon the value and meaning of these capacities in a workplace context.

  • EXECUTIVE FUNCTIONING Unpack the various elements of executive functioning  including focus, decision-making, self-regulation, adaptive capacity, and goal achievement. We also discuss how the brain is shaped by habits of attention – or distraction.

  • ATTENTION TRAINING – MINDFULNESS. Learn a range of practical strategies for improving focus, reducing stress and increasing performance capacity. Participants are taken through a series of experiential exercises.

  • DAILY HABITS FOR SUCCESS. Underpined by the science of habit creation, participants are encouraged to identify new ways of regulating self and focus in this goal-setting component.
