The Business Benefits of Offering an EAP

Happy and engaged staff do better work. Offering an employee assistance program means your talent can tackle any challenges they’re facing early, before these start negatively impacting their work.

EAPs are proven to decrease absenteeism, presenteeism, and workplace distress while increasing loyalty, engagement and life satisfaction — all factors that ultimately affect employee productivity and business profitability.

Having dedicated mental health professionals on hand means there’s less attrition, and less time, effort and expenditure spent on recruitment and retraining. In fact, researchers have found that the ROI for EAP use increases over time, with ratios reaching as high as 14:1 in some sectors.

In addition, offering an EAP means boosting your company’s employee value proposition (EVP), making it easier to both attract and retain top talent.

The nature of today’s workplaces is changing rapidly, Queensland employees are looking for companies that have values aligned with their own. LinkedIn data shows that company culture and work-life balance are in the top three employee priorities post-Covid, and both can be bolstered through the use of EAP services.

Supporting employees by providing professional mental health services makes good business sense. To find out more about our flexible employee assistance programs in Queensland, call us today.

    FAQs

    How do we get started?2023-11-24T22:33:30+11:00

We believe an EAP should be quick and easy to set up. Our employee assistance programs can be set up in less than an hour, just call or fill out our contact form and we’ll send you a plain-English agreement to return.

There are no fixed terms or lock-in contracts because we believe Queensland employers deserve a flexible arrangement with lower overheads. Instead, you’ll only pay for what is provided, whether that’s seven employee counselling sessions or three or even none.

What are your Queensland service areas?2022-08-03T06:13:48+10:00

Because we represent a network of psychologists and counsellors, we have employee assistance professionals all over Queensland, from Mount Isa, Emerald and central Queensland to the far north and beyond.

Our physical offices are in Brisbane, but our professionals work statewide. If we’re not in your town or city, our services are also available online, meaning there’s no barrier to superior employee support.

How much does an EAP cost?2022-08-03T06:14:45+10:00

Associated EAP generally charges on a pay-as-you-go basis, which means you only pay for the services actually provided to your staff. This could be as low as the cost of a few counselling sessions for a single employee. Unlike other providers, there are no large retainers and no set-up fees.

This model means we can offer small and medium-sized Queensland organisations the same level of EAP service provided to large corporate and government clients.

    What reporting can you provide?2022-08-03T06:15:17+10:00

We can set up advanced metrics including quarterly reporting. We can also report on the primary reasons for referral as well as usage statistics to help you measure your outcomes and expenses.

We really enjoyed Katherine’s style of tuition and approach during the workshop she gave last year. Staff feedback was excellent too, booking in other workshops soon!
